Kaylee and Eric got engaged on a park bench, during a walk one evening. Earlier that day, he’d surprised Kaylee with flowers at work.

I was so crazy excited for them when she told me!! Kaylee was the first friend I’d made on my first day at a new school in grade 10, and to see how happy her and Eric are together is so wonderful.

Pretty quickly we started planning when and where they would like to go for their engagement photos, and Kaylee floated the idea of going out to her grandma’s farm. The drive out there was completely worth it! We arrived and caught one of her uncle’s working to finish up harvest.

Just down the road from their farmyard, we visited the church where her grandparents and parents got married in. After we were all finished taking photos, we went in to her grandma’s house for a short visit. Kaylee’s grandma is THE most hilarious and vivacious women I have ever met. I joked that I wanted her as my grandma too, and she welcomed me with the MOST delicious fresh buns, and showed off some older family photos from local history books as well.
