This August these two crazy kids got married out in North Battleford, Sask!
My second shooter and I hit the road to meet the bridal party at the hotel for getting ready. We were so excited for the day ahead of us, and the good weather we were in for that day!
The whole day was full of emotion and thought, starting with the couple exchanging gifts and letters as they were doing final preparations for the ceremony. The ceremony was even more touching as they included their kids in such heartfelt ways during the ceremony.
After the ceremony, as we were getting organized for family photos, the DJ came up to Jess and Dalton, and mentioned how in all the years he’d been DJ’ing weddings, their ceremony was the first time he’d had tears in his eyes while DJ’ing. I don’t blame him, I couldn’t hold in my tears while they exchanged vows. From the way he teared up as she walked down the aisle, to the way they grabbed eachother for a kiss, even before the their officiant declared them married, to watching the tears flood from their daughter as Dalton said the sweetest pledge to her as well.
We did family formals in the yard of the Rustic 9, and then took off with the bridal party for more photos! This group wasready to party and celebrate with the newlyweds! We hit up a couple different locations along the riverbank in the North Battleford area, and then went back to the Alex Dillabough centre for the reception.
Decorating the reception hall were so many projects that Jess and Dalton put together themselves, Dalton made all the wood stands for the dessert table, and they made sure it all pulled together so well. And the food!! So much delicious food for supper, followed up with cake and cupcakes, candy bar, and even a popcorn machine! No hungry stomachs by the end of the night for any of their guests! Which was perfect, as the dance floor was always busy!
After the sunset, I grabbed Jess and Dalton outside for some sparkler photos, and to take a couple minutes for just the two of them, and a few more with their kids as well.
Jess & Dalton’s wedding was also featured this fall on the Sask Ever After blog, and you can check out the post and hear about the day from their perspective here:
