I know, everyone is tired of hearing about this past winter in Saskatoon. And for the most part, I agree. I don’t love freezing my fingers and toes nose and every other body part just walking from my car to wherever I need to quickly dash into. But, I do love the winter scenery for portraits, and it *almost* makes me forget about about the bitter cold slowly overtaking my entire being. The frigid weather just gives my couples a better reason to snuggle up and not let each other go, and who doesn’t want to stay close when the temperature’s are dipping so low?!
The chill is always worth it, and is nothing that a hot cup of coffee can’t fix.
We grabbed one of her favorite knit sweaters, one of my flowy skirts from my client wardrobe (layering in an extra pair of leggings underneath to keep her legs from freezing!) and grabbed her guy, and we headed out for a quick session to adventure around in the snow.
When I tell you that you don’t have to worry about how to pose, I’ll direct you, I mean it! She wasn’t quite sure how I wanted him to spin her, so I jumped right in there to show them want I wanted them to do. I’m so glad I did, as look at the result we got as he spun her around! That skirt flutters and floats so beautifully, it’s one of my favorite pieces in my closet for clients to borrow.
