From getting ready at her parent’s house, we went to having a first look in the same area that we took their engagement photos the previous fall. They kept their bridal party small, just her sister and his best friend to stand up with them. At so many different parts of their day, it all centered around how much they loved their friends and family. She wore a ring of her grandmother’s, and a braided bracelet from a vacation her and her sister had taken. Her sister was wearing a matching bracelet as well.
The farm had no shortage of amazing locations, it was the absolute perfect space for their portraits, and I’m wishing I could shoot their all the time!! Every way I turned I saw another gem! I would have stayed there all day, except we still needed to make it to town for their ceremony!
The ceremony was hosted in her sister’s backyard. This alone makes it special, as the family had put so much work into the gardening and landscaping in anticipation for the wedding day. But the cherry on top was that before it was her sister’s home, it was her grandparent’s home. I can’t imagine all the amazing memories that flooded everyone’s minds throughout the afternoon as they watched the bride and groom exchange vows.
The reception was hosted at the Bella Vista Inn in Humboldt, and the evening was spent with a lot of laughter, a delicious meal, and an even more tasty table full of cupcakes! Near the end of the evening, their hilarious MC put a fun spin on the ‘shoe game’ by also incorporating a third option, for Jessica and Corey’s dog!
